Your Guide to Vine In The Valley

Your Guide to Vino in the Valley

As March quickly approaches, the Lehigh Valley is preparing for Vino in the Valley!

March 9 & 10, 16 & 17, 23 & 24, 30 & 31, 2019

Saturdays from 11:00AM to 5:00PM and Sundays from Noon to 5:00PM

What is Vino in the Valley, anyway?

Every March, the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail wineries join forces for a very special event. For four weekends, passport holders get VIP access to member wineries. As you visit our eight locations, you will be offered delicious food and wine pairings to sample. A complimentary wine tasting at each winery is also included with your passport purchase. Your passport will be stamped during each visit and ultimately entered into the Grand Prize Drawing once it has stamps from all eight wineries.

Prizes:

Each winery will be giving away 20 $50 local restaurant gift certificates at random over these four weekends of the event. There will be 160 instant winners! That means that one in 11 passport holders will win! Visit all 8 wineries to improve your chance of winning. The Grand Prize Drawing, a gift certificate for $250 Wine Trail Bucks, will be given away in April after event is over.

You may be thinking, “This sounds awesome! How do I get tickets?” We have you covered! Tickets are on sale at all member wineries (Amore Vineyard & Winery, Black River Farms, Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellar, Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery, Franklin Hill Vineyards, Galen Glen Winery, Tolino Vineyards, and Vynecrest Vineyards & Winery) until they sell out! Tips for the Passport Program from the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail:

♦ In 2019, there are five weekends in March. This event does NOT occur the first weekend of the month.

♦ We recommend that you plan on visiting no more than three wineries a day so you can get the most enjoyment out of your experience without being rushed.

Since our wineries are all family-owned and operated, we each have our own set of house rules.

So please check with individual wineries if you have any questions.

♦No commercial vehicles of any type (buses, limos, vans, etc.) are allowed at the 8 member wineries during weekends in March.

If you are traveling by car with a group of 8 or more people, appointments, scheduled in advance, are required at each winery you plan to visit.

♦Online passport orders are mailed out once a week, each Friday.

♦ Start at any winery, visit all 8.

♦ Consider beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

♦ In general, Sundays are less busy than Saturdays.

  • ♦ If you will be traveling all day long, pack a snack or stop by a local restaurant.
  • ♦They strongly discourage trying to visit all 8 wineries in one day. Anyone, regardless of whether they are the driver or not, can be
  • denied a wine tasting if it appears they are impaired.
  • ♦ No alcohol of any kind may be brought into winery premises.
